If this is your first time hearing about us, welcome. We built Social Trade around a simple idea: local businesses and content creators should be able to help each other grow without money always needing to be part of the equation.
Why We Built Social Trade
Local businesses need a steady stream of content to stay visible online. Photos, Reels, TikToks, and real people sharing real experiences often connect with audiences better than traditional advertising.
The challenge is that creating fresh content regularly can get expensive, especially for small businesses without a large marketing budget.
At the same time, there are plenty of creators looking for interesting places to visit, new businesses to feature, and opportunities to build their portfolios. Some are established, while others are just getting started. Either way, many are open to collaborating in exchange for a product, service, or experience they genuinely want.
Social Trade brings those two groups together.
How Social Trade Works
Social Trade is a simple barter marketplace:
Businesses create a listing for a product, service, or experience they are willing to offer. They also explain what kind of content they would like in return.
Creators browse available listings and apply to the opportunities that fit their interests and style.
The business reviews the applicants, chooses a creator, and connects with them directly through the app to work out the details.
Once the collaboration is complete, both sides can leave a review based on their experience.
There are no invoices or complicated rate negotiations. It is simply an exchange between a business and a creator who each have something valuable to offer.
Why We’re Starting in Orange County
We believe the best local marketplaces grow one community at a time.
Orange County is home to an incredible mix of restaurants, salons, studios, boutiques, gyms, and other local businesses. It also has a strong and active creator community, making it a great place to launch Social Trade and learn directly from the people using it.
We do plan to expand into additional cities. As Social Trade grows, we will share updates about where we are headed next.
